The Gentleman’s travel bag is the perfect weekend bag, large enough to hold a change of clothes for 1–2 days while small enough to be allowed into a plane cabin. Made from sturdy yet resilient off-white cotton linen, the bag features high-quality leather handles and horizontal leather stripes in a sublime cognac colour, inspired by the colour scheme of Alexander Kraft’s dog Bertie. Some of the leather elements (all in vegetable leather treated without any chemicals) have even been hand-stitched, a sign of a truly artisanal production. The Gentleman’s travel bag can be closed with a zipper, is fully lined and features 2 interior pockets, a smaller one with a zipper (for valuables and items such as keys, phone, etc.) and another, larger and deeper one that can accommodate a tablet or even a small laptop. As many fans of Alexander Kraft know, bags, and especially vintage bags from the world’s most legendary luxury houses, have been a long-standing interest (not to say obsession) of Kraft. Using his knowledge accumulated over more than 2 decades of collecting the world’s most sought-after, iconic bags, Kraft decided to launch his own bag collection in 2020. All bags are produced in a small, family-owned artisanal “bottega” (workshop) in Umbria, Italy, that usually only creates and sells its own products or realizes individual orders of highly complex, bespoke commissions which even include leather-covered Vespa scooters, bikes and even cars.
