Alexander Kraft has played an important role in the renaissance of the double-breasted waistcoat, having personally spotted the distinctive style of vest for more than 15 years during his numerous activities around the globe. The AK MC waistcoat is based on the one Kraft has conceived with his favorite bespoke tailors over numerous years, and features a perfectly balanced V-shape, elegant shawl lapels, two pockets (to accommodate a pocket watch and other life necessities), and a silk back with adjuster. The waistcoat is made from the finest medium-weight, light grey flannel from the world’s oldest family-owned mill, Vitale Barberis Canonic (est. 1663) from Northern Italy. It can be worn on its own, for example with jeans and a shirt for a touch of casual elegance, be combined with semi-formal items such as ecru trousers and a blue blazer, or be combined with the matching jacket and trousers to form a highly elegant and versatile suit.
