AK MC navy cotton all-season trench coat

Alexander Kraft wanted to create a contemporary version of the trench coat to adapt this venerable classic for use in today’s changed environment. His goal was to take the fussiness out of this wardrobe staple and design a version that has a sleeker, more contemporary silhouette and feel whilst preserving its key trademark elements. He achieved that through a much shorter, slimmer cut (similar to that of the other double breasted overcoats of Alexander Kraft Monte Carlo) while carefully preserving at the same time such key elements as the belt, the flaps etc. that give the trench coat it’s unique character.
Made in an artisanal workshop in Puglia in the south of Italy from a pure cotton in a dark navy. The medium-weighted fabric has been treated with a light coating that is repellant to water whilst maintaining the softness and drape of the natural fibre.
The cut is designed to fit comfortably over a suit jacket or blazer but the style and fit is also suitable to wear with jeans and a cashmere sweater.
