AK MC Navy Wool Double-breasted Blazer with Bespoke Domed Brass Buttons

Enthroned in prime position in the wardrobes of polite society is, most often, the navy blazer. This garment is ubiquitous in the spheres of politics, sport, military, film, and fashion; even Yves Saint Laurent elevated the confidence of women in a navy blazer.

Ralph Lauren is another iconoclastic designer who’s beautifully transcended lifestyles with his own interpretations of the navy blazer. Even for the slightly less common navy double-breasted gold brass button blazer iteration, it’s unquantifiable how many times it’s been sculpted by designers.

Following on from our sought-after version in linen, we’ve made sure, like many of our garments in the AK MC collection, that the model in wool can be worn all year round. Constructed with side vents, roped shoulders, and a medium-width lapel, it is cut with a nipped waist, which, if worn with any one of the desirable contemporary Gurkha trousers, beautifully exposes the attributes of the upper leg.

Featuring three straight flap pockets, a ticket pocket, and three inside pockets, it has working buttonholes, a working lapel hole, and a flower loop on the inside of the lapel. These subtle extra details clearly demonstrate our commitment to quality and craftsmanship.

However, it’s the bespoke gold solid brass buttons crafted by TYLER & TYLER, who represent Birmingham’s true design heritage, that tremendously set this AK MC model apart from any other artisan. Finished by hand, each button that compiles the 6×2 button configuration and sleeve buttons, they feature the custom Alexander Kraft logo on each. Distinguished for our contemporary partial-lining in a contrasting red silk, the popular brothers Richard and Jonathan of TYLER & TYLER also known for share Negroni-themed cufflinks – a rather pleasant design intervention considering our very own Kraftoni Negroni drink.
